1.1 Overview

Production Versions)
The CDM-710 and CDM-710L Broadcast Satellite Modems (Figure 1-1) provide
transmission of data in Digital Video Broadcast (DVB) and generic data
transmission applications. The CDM-710/L operates over satellite links with
programmable symbol / data rates up to 45 Msps in DVB-S2, DVB-S, and
DVB-DSNG modes. The unit is available in modem, modulator-only, and
demodulator-only configurations.
Its companion products, the CDM-710G and CDM-710GL, support non-MPEG2
formats with a variety of data interfaces.
