Front Panel Operation
Use the arrow keys to select S2-G/S2-TS, S, or DSNG. Press ENTER. Be sure
to check the modulation, code, and data rate selections after you change the
Mode.
(CONFIG:) Tx: Mode S2-G/S2-TS (DVB-S2 Mode only)
This operation applies only to modems equipped with the optional CDI-
60 HSSI Data Interface, running in DVB-S2 mode.
When you select S2-G/S2-TS, the (CONFIG:) Tx Mode S2-G/S2-TS option
becomes available:
The default Transport Mode is TransportStream, regardless of mode or interface
type. Use the arrow keys to select Generic or TransportStream. Press
ENTER.
(Config:) Tx: Freq (Frequency)
To edit the Tx Frequency: Use the arrow keys to select the digit to edit, and
then use the arrow keys to change that digit. Press ENTER. Note that:
• For the CDM-710 (70/140 MHz), you may configure a frequency range
from 52 to 88 MHz and from 104 to 176 MHz, in 100 Hz steps.
• For the CDM-710L (L-Band), you may configure a frequency range from
950 to 2000 MHz, in 100 Hz steps.
CAUTION
The bandwidth of the modulated Tx carrier must stay within the IF
frequency range. If your setting falls outside the permitted range, the
modem disallows the configuration and turns off the Tx Carrier.
