Front Panel Operation
• Mng Unicast (Out) – The sum of frames transmitted to the local GBEI
management processor that have a unicast destination MAC address.
• Mng Broadcast (Out) – The sum of frames transmitted to the local GBEI
management processor that have a broadcast destination MAC address.
• Mng Multicast (Out) – The sum of frames transmitted to the local GBEI
management processor that have a multicast destination MAC address.
7.2.1.6 (Config:) Ref (Reference)
The unit phase locks to an external input at the rear panel 'J7 | Ext Ref' BNC
connector. Other selections are available for External 1, 2, 5, 10, or 20 MHz
input. Note that Internal selection is available at 10 MHz.
7.2.1.7 (Config:) Aux (Auxiliary/Redundancy)
Use the
arrow keys to select Auto/Manual, Ena/Dis, or Force (1:1). Press
ENTER.
(Config:) Aux (Redundancy): Auto/Manual
Use the arrow keys to select Auto-(On) or Manual-(Off). Press ENTER. Note
the following:
• Auto-(On) is the default mode of operation. When an online modem is in
a fault state, the switch places the backup modem online if it is not in a
fault state.
• Select Manual-(Off) to disable the redundancy switch. Even when an
online modem is in a fault state, no switch occurs regardless of the
backup modem's fault state.
