FUEL SYSTEMS
(3) Disconnect vacuum harnesses from solenoids.
(4) Remove solenoid mounting bracket screw.
(5) Remove solenoids and bracket.
(6) Lift MTV solenoid up off of bracket.
(7) Reverse procedure for installation.
MANIFOLD TUNING VALVE—3.5L ENGINE
REMOVAL
(1) Remove engine cover.
(2) Disconnect vacuum hose from manifold tuning
valve vacuum motor (Fig. 56).

(3) Remove retaining clip from manifold tuning
valve arm (Fig. 57)

(4) Remove
manifold
screws. Remove tuning valve vacuum motor.
INSTALLATION
(1) Install tuning valve. Tighten mounting screws
to 11 N¼m (8 ft. lbs.) torque.
(2) Install retaining clip.

(3) Connect vacuum hose to the manifold tuning
valve vacuum motor.
POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE (PCM)
The PCM engine control strategy prevents reduced
idle speeds until after the engine operates for 320 km
(200 miles). If the PCM is replaced after 320 km (200
miles) of usage, update the milage in new PCM. Use
the DRBII scan tool to change the milage in the
PCM. Refer to the appropriate Powertrain Diagnostic
Manual and the DRBII scan tool.
REMOVAL
(1) Remove air cleaner.
(2) Remove stud bolt and push pin attaching PCM
to body (Fig. 58). The push pin has a center lock
(shaft). Pull the center lock up to remove the push
pin.
(3) Lift PCM up. Disconnect PCM 60-way connec-
tor (Fig. 59).
(4) Remove PCM.
