FRAME AND BUMPERS
REAR BUMPER FASCIA
REMOVAL (FIG. 3)
(1) Release trunk latch and open trunk lid.
(2) Remove wheelhouse splash shields as necessary
to gain access to fascia fasteners.
(3) Remove screws holding fascia to bottom of
quarter panel.
(4) Remove screws holding trunk lining to lower
deck panel.
(5) Separate trunk lining from lower deck panel.
(6) Remove nuts holding fascia to rear edge of
quarter panel.
(7) Disengage wire connectors as necessary, if
equipped.
(8) Remove push-in fasteners holding fascia to
lower deck panel.
INSTALLATION
(1) Place rear fascia in position on rear of vehicle.
(2) Install push-in fasteners to hold fascia to lower
deck panel.
(3) Engage

connectors
equipped.
(4) Install nuts to hold fascia to rear edge of quar-
ter panel.
(5) Place trunk lining in position on lower deck
panel.
(6) Install screws to hold trunk lining to lower
deck panel.
(7) Install screws to hold fascia to bottom of quar-
ter panel.
(8) Install wheelhouse splash shields as necessary
to gain access to fascia fasteners.

ENGINE CRADLE CROSSMEMBER
REMOVAL (FIG. 4)
WARNING: VERIFY THAT VEHICLE IS PROPERLY
SUPPORTED AND SECURED TO THE LIFTING DE-
VICE.
CHANGE WHEN HEAVY COMPONENTS ARE RE-
MOVED CAUSING A HAZARDOUS CONDITION.

(1) Release hood latch and open hood.
(2) Remove nuts holding engine mounts to cradle.
(3) Install a suitable engine support device.
(4) Raise and support vehicle on safety stands.
(5) Remove bolts holding transaxle crossmember to

(7) Raise and support vehicle on safety stands.
(8) Disconnect sway bar links.
(9) Remove bolts retaining suspension lower ball
(10) Separate lower control arm from spindle. Re-
(11) Support cradle on a 10 cm by 10 cm by 90 cm
(12) Remove bolts holding cradle to body shell.
(13) Lower cradle away from body shell.
If cradle replacement is required, transfer suspen-
(1) Support cradle on wood beam and a jack.
(2) Position cradle under body shell.
(3) Install bolts to hold cradle to body shell.
(4) Connect lower control arms to spindles. Refer
