Connecting Intercabinet CAN Cables and Connectors

NOTE
1.
In the UPM section, locate the coiled RJ-45 CAN cable. Remove the wire ties securing the cable to the
interior left side panel of the UPM section. Route this cable through the round wiring access in the right
side panel of the ISBM section.
2.
In the ISBM section, locate the J39 inverter CAN connector on the Pl1 interface board and connect the
RJ-45 CAN cable connector to the J39 connector (see Figure 4-8 and Figure 4-9).
3.
Dress the interface harnesses and secure in place with wire ties as necessary to prevent wire damage.
4.
When all wiring is complete, reinstall the safety shield panels removed in previous steps.
5.
Reinstall the front wireway panel.
6.
If installing a battery system, proceed to paragraph 4.6; otherwise, proceed to Step 7 .
7 .
If installing a tie cabinet or distribution panel for a distributed bypass system, proceed to paragraph 4.7;
otherwise, proceed to paragraph 4.8.
