SECTION 2
" NOTE:

Network Name

Network name applies only to the 802.11 DS 21XX UAP.
The network name prevents a 6400 computer from
synchronizing with an access point with a different network
name. All access points and 6400 computers in the network
must have the same network name to communicate.
Options are:
1. INTERMEC
2. Custom
3. Exit
Use
1. INTERMEC
(default)
2. Custom
3. Exit
The Network Name option does not display the current
name. To see the name, refer to NET.CFG.
To
Set the network name to INTERMEC. This
is also the default network name for the
21XX UAP.
Enter a new network name of 32 or fewer
characters. The network name is case
sensitive; if the network name for the access
point is in uppercase, your 6400 computer's
network name must match and also be in
uppercase.
If you enter a custom name of ANY for the
6400 computer (must be uppercase), it
attempts to attach to any 802.11 DS 21XX
UAP that provides good communications
quality, regardless of the access point's
network name. Intermec does not
recommend this method; instead, you should
enter the access point's network name.
Return to the Advanced menu.
