You can set the characteristics of the bus node individually by
parameterisation. A distinction is made between the following
types of parameters:
Parameters
Fail state
Tool change
Device-specific
Channel-specific
Parameter descriptions for I-Port devices can be found in the
product documentation for the respective product if it sup-
ports parameterisation.
Description
Defines the status which digital output sig-
nals (outputs and valves) are to assume in
the event of fieldbus communication errors.

Influence the characteristics of a specific
module, e.g. monitoring, settings in the case
of error
Influence the behaviour of a specific input or
output channel, e.g. settings of the inputs'
debounce times
Influence the operating method of the in-
ternal diagnostic memory
