3.5.2 Device-specific diagnostics with STEP 7 (up to V 5.5)

You can display error messages of the device-specific dia-
gnostics with HW Config if you mark the bus node instead of
the CPU.
HW Config is called up.
Proceed as follows (see Fig. 3/7):
1. Switch from offline to online 1.
2. Click with the right mouse button on the icon of the bus node 2.
3. Click on [Module information...] in the displayed context
menu.
The corresponding dialogue window is displayed (see
Fig. 3/7, 3 ).
4. Click on the "DP Slave diagnostics" tab 4.
5. Read the diagnostic information 5.
