6.5.4 Symbol for the new EU Battery Directive

When the operation is to be resumed after being stored with the battery removed or
the battery has gone flat during storage, the contents of the data (Refer to Section
6.5) in the RAM built-in Motion controller cannot be guaranteed.
Before resuming operation, write the contents of the data that was backed up prior to
storage to the RAM built-in Motion controller.
POINT
(1) Before storing the Motion controller, always back up the contents of the data in
the RAM built-in Motion controller.
(2) When communication with the Motion controller cannot be established while
using PERIPHERAL I/F to connect, perform an SRAM clear with the rotary
switch. (Refer to Section 2.5.1(7).)

Hg: mercury (0.0005%), Cd: cadmium (0.002%), Pb: lead (0.004%)
In the European Union there are separate collection systems for used batteries and
accumulators.
Please, dispose of batteries and accumulators correctly at your local community waste
collection/recycling centre.
