Configure Rate of Turn (ROT)
Clicking the Configure Rate of Turn tab opens the Rate of Turn data entry window (see Figure
A2- 20 - Rate of Turn below). This window requires the input of information relevant to the ship's
rate of turn device.

Rate of Turn Device Manufacturer
Enter the name of the manufacturer of the rate of turn device.

Model
Enter the model of the rate of turn device.
A2.8.6.3
Device Location
Enter the location of the rate of turn device onboard the ship.
A2.8.6.4
Talker ID
The first two alphanumeric characters of the NMEA sentence 'Address Field' identify the Talker.
When entering the Talker ID for a rate of turn device, these two letters will typically be "TI" or
"HE".

DataMux Channel
Enter the DataMux channel to which the rate of turn device is connected.

String to Use for Rate of Turn
From the drop down box select the string from which rate of turn information is collected. ROT
(Rate of Turn) is the only option available.
