Detection Threshold Calculations;

This section provides an example for calculating detection thresholds for audio input channels.
Below is an example of how to calculate detection thresholds.
NOTE: This example calculates the threshold for Channel 2 only. In order to correctly calculate
all available channel detection thresholds, the steps provided below must be completed for each
of the channels.
1. Conduct an audio test for each available microphone and record the results (it is common
for each microphone to produce more than 1 result).
a. Mike 1 test – chirp detected on channel 2 – 971.378 (300.967)
a. Mike 1 test – chirp detected on channel 2 – 1081.232 (300.967)
b. Mike 1 test – chirp detected on channel 3 – 903.644 (261.255)
b. Mike 1 test – chirp detected on channel 3 – 943.323 (261.255)
c. Mike 1 test – chirp detected on channel 4 – 990.313 (316.459)
c. Mike 1 test – chirp detected on channel 4 – 922.433 (316.459)
a. Mike 2 test – chirp detected on channel 2 – 998.937 (321.623)
a. Mike 2 test – chirp detected on channel 2 – 1067.232 (321.623)
b. Mike 2 test – chirp detected on channel 3 – 956.135 (290.967)
b. Mike 2 test – chirp detected on channel 3 – 982.204 (290.967)
c. Mike 2 test – chirp detected on channel 4 – 1010.550 (324.374)
c. Mike 2 test – chirp detected on channel 4 – 1211.322 (324.374)
To make the necessary calculations easier, organize each of the audio results in channel groups
(as below):
a. Mike 1 test – chirp detected on channel 2 – 971.378 (300.967)
a. Mike 1 test – chirp detected on channel 2 – 1081.232 (300.967)
a. Mike 2 test – chirp detected on channel 2 – 998.937 (321.623)
a. Mike 2 test – chirp detected on channel 2 – 1067.232 (321.623)
b. Mike 1 test – chirp detected on channel 3 – 903.644 (261.255)
b. Mike 1 test – chirp detected on channel 3 – 943.323 (261.255)
b. Mike 2 test – chirp detected on channel 3 – 956.135 (290.967)
b. Mike 2 test – chirp detected on channel 3 – 982.204 (290.967)
c. Mike 2 test – chirp detected on channel 4 – 1010.550 (324.374)
c. Mike 2 test – chirp detected on channel 4 – 1211.322 (324.374)
c. Mike 1 test – chirp detected on channel 4 – 990.313 (316.459)
c. Mike 1 test – chirp detected on channel 4 – 922.433 (316.459)
