Remote site devices

This screen is used to define/setup the modem device. There are a lot of similarities between
this screen and the UUCP devices file under Unix. It is possible to assign several ports the
same device name, and the dialer daemon will automatically use the first available port. It is
also possible to have these ports do 'double-duty' and serve as regular dial-in ports for dumb
terminal access, SLIP or PPP in addition to the dial-out capability.

Field
Description
Type
The name of the modem assigned to a specific port. It is
referenced from the Remote Access Systems Screen in the
Device type field.
Dst Address
The address of the remote system your Terminal Server is calling
into.
Config
The modem's configuration string. There are a few examples at
the end of this document.
Note: Leave this field blank for directly connected devices.
Restart timer
Amount of time in seconds before the Terminal Server retransmits
PPP options.
