• Sequential from last answered: A call to this extension will ring one phone
in "round robin"or "circular" fashion. That is, the system determines which
user answered the previous incoming call and starts the new hunt by
choosing the next user in the list. If the call is unanswered within the
specified Interval, it is routed to the next user in the list, and so on, to the end
of the list (one cycle). The process repeats for the specified number of
cycles. If the call remains unanswered, it is forwarded to the specified
Internal or External number.
• Random: A call to this extension will ring one phone, chosen randomly from
the Members list. If the call is unanswered within the specified Interval, it is
routed to another randomly chosen member, and so on, to the end of the list
(one cycle). If the call remains unanswered after the specified number of
Cycles, it is forwarded to the specified Internal or External number.
Ring Duration and Number of Attempts:
The Ring Duration is the number of seconds that a call will ring on one phone
before it is routed to another phone. The Number of Attempts is the number of
phones to try before the call is considered unanswered. For Simultaneous order, all
phones ring for the specified ring duration; if the call is unanswered, it is forwarded
(Number of Attempts is 1 and cannot be changed.)
If you want the call to cycle through the users multiple times, enter a Number of
Attempts that is greater than the number of members. For example, if you have 3
members in a Sequential order, and you want to try each member's phone twice,
enter 6.
Group Voicemail:
Check the box to create a voicemail box for this hunt group. The voicemail box
number will be the same as the extension number. To retrieve messages for this
hunt group, a user can dial the Voicemail Pilot extension number, enter the mailbox
number, followed by the pound key (#). Then enter the password. The default
mailbox password is 12345.
The system allows up to 24 mail boxes for users and six group mail boxes for hunt
groups and shared lines. Each voicemail box can store up to 30 minutes of
messages.
