Playing Prompts
You can play the recorded prompts through your computer speaker or headphones
(if available and not muted). First click Load Prompts From Device to enable the
playback of the recorded prompts. Then click Play Button for the prompt that you
want to hear. You can click the button again to stop the playback.
Settings:
Prompt Name Enter the complete text of the prompt, or enter a short
description of the prompt for your reference.
Prevent Barge In (PBI): Check this box to require the AA to play the full
prompt before allowing the caller to make a selection. Leave the box
unchecked to allow the user to make a selection without listening to the full
prompt. By default, barge in is allowed.
Create Prompt: Click this button to add a new prompt slot.Type a
description. Use the AA Prompts Recorder to record a prompt for the new
slot, as described above. The device can store up to 20 prompts.
Create Prompt Sequence: Click this button to combine multiple prompts
into a new prompt sequence that can be selected more easily in an AA
menu. In the New Prompt Sequence box, type a name for the sequence.
Next, click Add prompt to sequence, and then use the drop-down list to
choose the first prompt for this sequence. Repeat as needed to add each
prompt in the desired order. To remove a prompt from the sequence, click
the Delete (X) button.
AA Prompt Recording Instructions:
You can record up to 20 AA prompts.
IMPORTANT: When you save the new prompts, the phones will restart.
1. From a connected IP phone, lift the receiver or press the speaker button to place
a call. Then enter the extension number for the Auto Attendant Prompt Recorder.
A recorded greeting plays.
2. When prompted, enter the password, followed by the pound key (#). The
default password is 1234.
3. Enter the prompt number that you want to change (valid entries are numbers
from 1 to 20). Then press the pound key: #.
4. Listen for instructions, and follow them to record and save your prompt. To exit
to the previous menu without changing a prompt, you can press star: *)
