Inbound Call Routing
Setting Up Hunt Groups
Unified Communications UC 320W Administration Guide
Hunt Group Overview
The hunt group can be contacted by entering the group extension from any
phone in the system or by choosing the extension from the directory.
The group can be contacted from an external phone, if the group is
specified as a call target for an AA menu option, an inbound call routing
group, a phone button, or a call forwarding option.
Label: Enter a description. This name will appear in the directory. The group
also will appear on the configuration pages where you can choose
destinations for call forwarding, call routing, AA menus, and phone button
features such as speed dial.
Hunt Group Settings
Click the Hunt Group Settings button to open this section. To close this
section, click the button again.
Keep the default extension number or enter a number. The extension
numbers are assigned automatically, in numeric order, based on the dial
plan.
Extension numbers must be unique and must comply with the rules entered
on the Dialing > Dial Plan page. For more information, see
Internal Dialing, page
or duplicate extension number.
Enter the other settings as described below. To create additional groups,
use the Create Hunt Group button.
Order
The Order determines how a call is routed within the group. Choose from the list:
Simultaneous: A call to this extension will ring all members' phones
simultaneously. The call can be answered from any phone. Ringing
continues for the specified Interval. If the call is unanswered after the
specified Interval, the call is forwarded to the specified Internal or External
number.
Sequential from start: A call to this extension will always ring the phone of
the first user that you selected the Members list. If the call is unanswered
within the specified Interval, it is routed to the next selected user in the list,
and so on, to the end of the list (one cycle). The process repeats for the
specified number of cycles. If the call remains unanswered, it is forwarded
to the specified Internal or External number.
