Use the SIP/BRI page to enter the settings for the SIP providers and BRI gateways
that provide Voice over IP (VoIP) services. You can add up to four different
services.
The Unified Communications System supports up to 12 simultaneous calls
on all trunks (including FXO and SIP/BRI trunks).
To simplify the display, all fields are unavailable until you choose a Provider.
Either complete all required fields in the entry or delete it; an incomplete
entry produces an error, indicated by a red X in the navigation tree.
If you have more than one type of trunk (including FXO and SIP/BRI), you can
configure different dialing prefixes for outbound call routing. See
Configuring Extension Length and Internal Dialing, page
Opening this page: From the navigation pane, choose Trunks > SIP/BRI.
Overview of Steps:
From the Provider drop-down list, choose Mediatrix BRI Gateway or
Generic SIP Provider.
Enter the settings and add the phone numbers, as described below.
To deactivate a provider that you entered, choose No Provider from the
drop-down list.
To add another SIP/BRI trunk, click Add a SIP/BRI Trunk.
Systemwide SIP Parameters:
Codec: Choose the codec specified by your VoIP provider, or keep the
default setting. This list includes the appropriate codecs for your region
(see
Localizing Your System with Regional Settings, page
Phone Numbers:
To enter the phone numbers, click Phone Numbers. To hide this section, click the
button again.
To add a single number: Click Add a Number. Type the phone number. Do
not include any spaces or symbols but instead enter the exact number that
