User Settings:
The page automatically displays a blank user record. Enter the user's information,
as described below. To add another user, click Create User. To delete a user, click
the Delete (X) button at the right end of the record.
First Name: Enter the user's given name, as you want it to appear in the
Corporate Directory on the phone menu and in the caller ID for internal calls.
Last Name: Enter the user's surname, as you want it to appear in the
Corporate Directory on the phone menu and in the caller ID for internal calls.
Extension: Keep the default extension number or enter a number. The
extension numbers are assigned automatically, in numeric order, based on
the dial plan.
Extension numbers must be unique and must comply with the rules entered
on the Dialing > Dial Plan page. For more information, see
Internal Dialing, page
or duplicate extension number.
VM: Check the box to create a voicemail box for this user, or leave the box
unchecked if the user does not need voicemail. The voicemail box number
is the same as the extension number. The default password is 12345.
The system allows up to 24 mail boxes for users and a total of 10
NOTE
group mail boxes for hunt groups, shared FXO lines, and shared extensions.
Each voicemail box can store up to 30 minutes of messages.
To paste a list of users:
Click Paste Text. In the pop-up window, type each user's first name, last name,
extension number (optional), and voicemail preference (optional) in the following
pattern:.
firstname lastname extension voicemail
NOTES:
extension (optional): Enter a number that meets the requirements that you
specified on the System Features > Internal Dialing page.
voicemail: Enter true to enable voicemail or false to disable voicemail for
this user.
Enter a space between each element.
Enter a comma or press the enter key between the final element and the
next firstname.
