Table A-1 Fault Table Listings
Causes
A Unit setting is malfunctioning.
Improper assembly and/or Har-
ness connection.
Banknote Jam or poor condition
occurred by interference of a for-
eign object.
Software not designed to accept
current Country's Banknotes.
DIP Switch settings are incorrect.
Banknote accept/inhibit setting is
by command from the Host
Machine.
Dirt or foreign objects adhering to
the Sensors.
Improper validation process per-
formance.
Improper assembly and/or the
Sensors are malfunctioning.
Software version is old.
Proper denomination Banknotes
are required in the desired Coun-
try's Software.
Dirt or foreign objects adhering to
the Sensors.
Sensor Calibration Tests need to
be performed.
(Did not perform Calibration
Tests following a disassembly or
repair.)
Check that the Unit, Assembly, and Connec-
tions are properly seated in place.
Check that there is not a Banknote Jam or
interference from a foreign object inside the
VEGA Unit. Check that the LED Flashing Pat-
tern is correct, and identify the indicated error
by referring to the Error Codes Table; then per-
form the necessary action required.

Confirm that the acceptable denomination is
correct by referring to the related Country's
Software Information Sheet.
Download the correct Software.

Check that the DIP Switch settings are prop-
erly set.

Check that the command from the Host
Machine is correct, and change the setting to
be acceptable for use with the VEGA Unit.
Clean the Sensors.
(See Cleaning Procedure on page 2-5)
Check that all Assembly and Cable Connec-
tions are properly set.
Identify the Error Code flashing pattern and
locate the error by referring to the Error Codes
Table; then perform the necessary action
required.

Confirm that the required denomination and/or
desired Country's Issued year is correct by
referring to the Software Information Sheet.

Clean the Sensors.
