4-cylinder injection engine (2.0 l direct injection engine, turbocharger) - Edition 02.2011
♦ Charge air system tester -V.A.G 1687-
– Release hose clip -1- and detach pressure hose -3- from tur‐
bocharger -2-.
– Depending on hose diameter, insert adapter -1687/10- ,
-1687/11- or -1687/12- in air duct -1- and secure with hose clip.
– Connect charge air system tester -V.A.G 1687- as shown in
figure.
Prepare charge air system tester -V.A.G 1687- as follows:
– Unscrew pressure control valve -2- completely, close valves
-3- and -4-.
Note
To turn the pressure regulating valve -2- the knob must be pulled
upwards.
