Data recorder view
Once you have completed your project and established a connection to your
MELSEC-WS safety controller, you can record input and output signals. Various
selection windows area available in the Data recorder view for this purpose.
The Data recorder view contains the following windows and elements:
 Selection window for the Trigger and trace configuration: You can record data
either continuously or only once a specific trigger condition is met.
 Status/control selection window: Is used to start and stop the recording. In
addition, the data recorder configuration can be read from the device or
transferred to the device here.
 Selection windows for the Inputs or Outputs on which the signals are to be
recorded. For this purpose drag the required inputs and outputs from the selection
window to the data display window.
 Data display window 1) where the signals recorded on the inputs and outputs are
displayed.
 Toolbar with icons to import, export and delete the data recorded, to increase or
reduce the size of the view, or to reset it to its original size. In addition, you can
show and hide markers using the toolbar. You can use the markers, e.g. to
determine the intervals between signal changes.
Recording data
To record data the data recorder configuration in the device and in Setting and
Monitoring Tool must match. With the aid of the buttons in the Status/control
selection window you can transfer the data recorder configuration either from Setting
and Monitoring Tool to the device or read it from the device.
