Attaching the Ethernet Cable to the Ethernet Switch
Ethernet cable
Before you attach the power cords to the LANserver EX3 components, make
sure the three Power switches on the LANserver EX3 power modules are in
the off (O) position.
The Ethernet switch has no Power switch and will turn on when you plug the
power cords into a power outlet.
To connect the power cords to the LANserver EX3 and other
components:
1. Plug one power cord into the right power connector on the back of the
LANserver EX3.
2. Plug one power cord into the left power connector on the back of the
LANserver EX3.
3. Plug the power cords into power outlets.
4. Plug a power cord into the back of the Ethernet switch.
5. Plug the power cord into a power outlet. You should see some of the LEDs
on the front of the switch light and hear the fan when the switch is
plugged in.
6. Plug the monitor power cord into a power outlet.
