Connecting MediaShare F/C Clients to a LANshare

When you are copying data from a MediaShare F/C workgroup to a LANshare
workgroup, you need to have one or more clients connected directly to both
workgroups. This requires an Ethernet connection to LANshare and a Fibre
Channel connection to the MediaShare F/C hub (see

To connect a MediaShare F/C client to a LANshare workgroup:
1. Leave the MediaShare F/C cable connected to the MediaShare F/C hub
(see
Figure
).
2. Connect the client to a LANshare workgroup, and install and configure
the Macintosh Ethernet client software as described in the Avid Unity
MediaNetwork Macintosh Ethernet Client Setup Guide.
