To access the custom test settings options:
1. Click the Custom Test button in the Avid Performance Meter Settings

2. Adjust the custom test parameters, as required:

dialog box. The dialog box expands to display the Custom Test Settings
area.
The Avid Performance Meter can support more than one
interface or protocol for accessing data. This option allows you to
control which interface is used. Select one of the available
settings:
t Automatically select — Automatically select a protocol for
testing the selected path. Generally, the utility selects
AECIFS if it is supported, or Win32 File API if AECIFS is
not supported for the specified path.
t Win32 File API — Use the Win32 File API for data file
access, even if AECIFS is supported.
t AECIFS — Use the AECIFS interface for data file access. If
AECIFS is not supported, the utility does not automatically
perform file I/O using the Win32 File API. Instead, the test
shows one or more errors in the Errors section of the Results
area.
