INSTALLING THE MUFFLER

1. Install:
New
• Gasket "1"
(to muffler)
TIP
Install the gasket with the chamfer "a", located
on an inner rim of the gasket, and the chamfer
"b", located on an outer rim of the gasket, as
shown.
Installed depth of gasket "c"
3.5 mm (0.14 in)

2. Install:
• Clamp "1"
(to the muffler assembly)
TIP
• Fit the projection "a" on the clamp into the slot
"b" shown in the illustration.
• Temporarily tighten the clamp bolt "2".

3. Install:
• Muffler assembly
• Muffler bracket
Muffler bolt
35 Nm (3.5 m·kgf, 25 ft·lbf)
Muffler bracket bolt
53 Nm (5.3 m·kgf, 38 ft·lbf)
4. Tighten:
• Clamp bolt
1 New
