TROUBLESHOOTING

Any of the following fail to light: headlight, high beam indicator light, taillight, license plate light, position
light, meter light or auxiliary light (OPTION).
TIP
1. Left side cover
2. Rider seat
3. Fuel tank
4. Tail/brake light assembly
1. Check the condition of each bulb
and bulb socket.
Refer to "CHECKING THE BULBS
AND BULB SOCKETS" on page
7-78.

2. Check the fuses.
(Main, headlight, fuel injection sys-
tem, signaling system, ignition and
tail/brake light)

3. Check the battery.

4. Check the main switch.

Replace the bulb(s) and bulb socket(s).

Replace the fuse(s).

• Clean the battery terminals.
• Recharge or replace the battery.

Replace the main switch.

• The dimmer switch is faulty.
• Replace the left handlebar switch.

Replace the headlight relay.
