3.7 Setting loop stroke and hook clearance

To set the loop stroke and the hook clearance:
1. Lock the machine in place at Position 1 ( p. 17).
2. Loosen the three screws (2) on the hook.

5. Tighten the three screws (2) of the hook without changing the loop
Sequence
After correcting the loop stroke position or the hook clearance, check the
needle bar height ( p. 23).
6. Remove the locking mechanism ( p. 20).

(3) - Hook tip
Turn the hook (1) such that the hook tip (3) points exactly to the center
line of the needle.
Move the hook sideways such that the distance between the hook
tip (3) and the groove of the needle is 0.05 – 0.1 mm.
