Fuses
CAUTION
NEVER ATTEMPT TO REPAIR FAULTY FUSES.
NEVER USE FUSES OTHER THAN THE ONES SPECIFIED.
A SHORT CIRCUIT MAY DAMAGE THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM OR EVEN CAUSE A FIRE.
NOTE
IF A FUSE BLOWS OUT FREQUENTLY, IT MAY BE DUE TO A SHORT CIRCUIT OR OVERLOAD.
Checking the fuses is necessary whenever an electrical component fails to operate or is malfunctioning
or when the engine does not start.
First check the 15A fuses, and then the 20A fuses.
Set the ignition switch to "OFF" to avoid an accidental short circuit.
For main fuses:
Carry out the first four operations described in the ''Battery electrolyte level check'' section.
For auxiliary fuses:
Remove the front cover.
Check:
Take out one fuse at a time and check if the filament is broken.
Before replacing the fuse, find and whenever possible, solve the problem that cause it to blow.
If the fuse is damaged, replace it with one of the same amperage.
NOTE
IF ONE OF THE SPARE FUSES IS USED, SUPPLY ANOTHER OF EQUAL RATING TO THE CORRESPONDING FITTING.
