Place the brake calliper on the disc.
•
Tighten the two screws «2».

Screw fixing calliper to fork 25 ± 20% (18.5 ftlb)
Handlebar
Check according to the instructions on the sched-
uled maintenance table.
For better handling, the steering is fitted with rolling
bearings.
For smooth handlebar rotation and safe riding, the
steering must be correctly set. A steering that is
very hard hinders smooth handlebar rotation,
whereas a very loose steering involves poor sta-
bility.
CHECKING THE BEARINGS CLEARANCE
•
Rest the vehicle on its centre stand.
•
Place a support under the chassis.
•
Shake the fork in the riding direction.
•
Adjust if clearance is detected.
ADJUSTING THE BEARING CLEARANCE
•
Remove the legshield.
•
Loosen the lock nut «1».
CAUTION
NEVER TIGHTEN THE ADJUSTING NUT «2» WITH FORCE
SO AS NOT TO DAMAGE THE STEERING BEARINGS.

Lock nut fixing screw 110 ± 20% (81.2 ftlb) Set nut fixing screw 15 ± 20% (11.1 ftlb)

Screw the adjusting nut «2» until the bearing clearance is recovered.
