Suspensions
NEW TYRES CAN BE COVERED BY A SLIPPERY COAT:
RIDE WITH CAUTION DURING THE FIRST KILOMETRES.
DO NOT APPLY UNSUITABLE LIQUIDS ON TYRES.
TYRE SIZE IS INDICATED ON THE VEHICLE REGISTRA-
TION DOCUMENT AND ANY DIFFERENCE IS LEGALLY
PUNISHABLE. THE USE OF A TYRE SIZE DIFFERENT
THAN THAT SPECIFIED MAY MODIFY THE VEHICLE
ALIGNMENT, IMPAIRING HANDLING AND RIDING SAFE-
TY. USE ONLY THE ORIGINAL TYRES SPECIFIED BY
APRILIA.
Characteristic
MINIMUM TREAD DEPTH «A»
Front and rear 2 mm ( 2 mm).
Remove the front wheel.
Clean the two sides of the hub with a
cloth.
Remove the right bearing «1» with a
suitable extractor.
Remove the left oil seal «2».
Remove the left bearing «3» with a
suitable extractor.
Collect the internal spacer «4».
Clean the inside of the hub thoroughly.
Wash all the parts with clean deter-
gent.
CAUTION
UPON REFITTING, USE A BUFFER WITH A DIAMETER
EQUAL TO THE EXTERNAL RING OF THE BEARINGS TO
INSERT THE BEARINGS. DO NOT HIT THE BALLS AND/OR
THE INTERNAL RING. MAKE SURE THE FOLLOWING
COMPONENTS ARE FITTED PERFECTLY IN:
The left bearing «3» on the hub;
The spacer «4» on the left bearing «3»;
The right bearing «1» on the spacer «4».
CAUTION
CHECK AND IF REQUIRED REPLACE THE BEARINGS AT
EACH REMOVAL OPERATION.
