Maintenance
WAIT SOME MINUTES UNTIL THE ENGINE AND THE EXHAUST SYSTEM ARE COLD.
Unscrew and take out the measuring
cap-dipstick «1».
Remove the rear brake calliper.
Remove the rear wheel.
Remove the rear brake disc and collect
the spacer.
Place a collecting container with +250
cm³ (15.256 cu.in) capacity under the
drain screw «2».
Undo and remove the drain screw.
After having drained off the transmis-
sion oil, screw and tighten the drain
screw «2».
Pour approx. 250 cm³ (15.256 cu.in)
transmission oil through the fill open-
ing.
Screw and tighten the measuring cap-
dipstick «1».
Start the engine and let it run for sev-
eral minutes. Stop the engine and let it
cool down.
Check the transmission oil level again.
Air filter
Clean the air filter following the instructions on the scheduled maintenance table. Carry out the main-
tenance procedures more frequently if the vehicle is used in rainy or dusty areas, or off road. In this
case, the air filter can be partially cleaned after travelling along these kinds of roads.
In order to clean:
Remove the filter.
Wash the filtering element with clean, non-flammable or high-volatility solvents, and let it dry
properly.
Apply filter oil or heavy oil all over the whole surface, and then wring the filtering element to
eliminate excess oil.
Clean the external part of the air filter with a clean cloth.
