This section describes how to program the D90
Plus
The D90 has one Ethernet port (port 1) on the main CPU module and two additional
Ethernet ports (ports 2 and 3) on the communications module. Each port supports
100Base-FX over multi-mode fiber and 10/100Base-TX over twisted-pair, with auto-
negotiation. Port 1 is primarily intended for configuration and file retrieval purposes and
has a dedicated IP address. Ports 2 and 3 are intended for SCADA and peer-to-peer
messaging. Additionally, there is one serial RS485 port. The following protocols are
available, depending on the configuration of the unit.
• Ethernet port 1: Modbus TCP.
• Ethernet port 2: Modbus TCP, DNP 3.0, IEC 60870-5-104, IEC 61850.
• Ethernet port 3: Modbus TCP, DNP 3.0, IEC 60870-5-104, IEC 61850.
• RS485 port: Modbus, DNP 3.0.
The topology shown below allows several D90
running EnerVista software or with a gateway for remote access. This allows device
configuration, monitoring, and file transfers (transient records, sequence of events, etc.) to
be carried out over Ethernet. Communications processor cards are not required and no
redundancy is provided.
