Select from Off and On - PKI Only.
Select On - PKI Only to use smart cards only for the security feature, not for
authentication or job control.
Smart Card Certificate Verification
Set whether or not to verify the smart card certificate when a user uses the smart card.
When this setting is enabled, the owner of the smart card is verified not only by PIN code
verification but by certification verification of the smart card and private key match. In this
case, the upper level CA certificate of the smart card certification must be registered on
the machine.
When this setting is disabled, the owner of the smart card is verified by PIN code
verification.
Select the method to verify the validity of certificates. Select By Retrieving
CRL if the machine retrieves a CRL (Certificate Revocation List) from the
validation authority to verify the revocation status of the certificate. Select By
OCSP if the machine uses OSCP (Online Certificate Status Protocol), which
can verify the validity revocation status of the certificate, to have the
certificate authority or validation authority check the revocation status.
