Bremsflüssigkeitsbehälter (B)
Der Vorratsbehälter für die Bremsflüssigkeit
befindet sich im Motorraum. Er hat drei Kam-
mern; eine für jeden der beiden Bremskreise
sowie eine für die Kupplung.
Der Schraubverschluß für die gemeinsame
Einfüllöffnung hat eine Belüftungsbohrung.
Diese Bohrung im Verschluß darf nicht ver-
stopft sein.
Der Vorratsbehälter ist durchscheinend, so
daß der Flüssigkeitsspiegel von außen über-
wacht werden kann. Er soll immer zwischen
den „Min.-" und „Max.-"-Markierungen liegen.
Left-hand drive
Brake fluid reservoir (B)
The brake fluid reservoir is mounted in the
engine compartment. It has three chambers:
one for each of the two brake circuits, and
one for the clutch.
The screw cap for the combined filler neck
has a ventilation hole which must always be
kept free.
The reservoir is transparent, so that the fluid
level can be checked from the outside. The
level should always be between the max. and
min. marks.
A nominal dropping of the fluid level will occur
during the use of the vehicle as the brake
disc pads wear and automatically adjust. This
is quite normal.
Ein geringfügiges Absinken des Flüssigkeitss-
piegels entsteht im Fahrbetrieb durch die Ab-
nutzung und automatische Nachstellung der
Scheibenbremse. Das ist normal.
Sinkt der Flüssigkeitsvorrat deutlich ab, leuch-
tet die Bremsflüssigkeitswarnleuchte und in
den Anzeigefeldern des Informationssystems
erscheint eine Störungsanzeige.
Suchen Sie dann sofort eine autorisierte
Werkstatt auf und lassen Sie das Bremssys-
tem prüfen.
Bremsflüssigkeit ist hygroskopisch! Da ein zu
hoher Wassergehalt in der Bremsflüssigkeit
dem gesamten Bremssystem auf die Dauer
nicht zuträglich ist, muß die Bremsflüssigkeit
entsprechend den Wechselintervallen in der
Broschüre „Garantie & Wartung" erneuert
werden.
Zum Nachfüllen nur neue (ungebrauchte!)
Bremsflüssigkeit verwenden. Spezifikation und
Füllmenge siehe Kapitel „Füllmengen".
Achtung: Bremsflüssigkeit ist ätzend und
greift den Lack an.
Should the fluid level drop appreciably, the
brake-fluid warning light comes on and a fault
message appears in the information-system
display. Consult an Official PORSCHE Centre
immediately and have the braking system
checked.
Brake fluid is hygroscopic! A too high water
content in the brake fluid adversely affects the
braking system, and therefore the brake fluid
must be renewed in accordance with the
intervals specified in the booklet "Guaran-
tee and Maintenance".
To top up the level, only use new (unused)
brake fluid. For specification and amounts see
the chapter "Filling capacities".
Note: Brake fluid
is corrosive and attacks
paintwork.
Kältemittel für Klimaanlage
Wegen des technisch bedingten Kältemittel-
verlustes ist es notwendig, daß mindestens
einmal jährlich der Kältemittelstand im Flüs-
sigkeitsbehälter kontrolliert wird.
Wenn bei eingeschalteter Klimaanlage im
Schauglas des Flüssigkeitsbehälters (Pfeil)
über einen größeren Zeitraum Gasblasen
sichtbar sind, ist nicht genügend Kältemittel in
der Klimaanlage. Kurzzeitiges Aufsteigen von
Gasblasen ist technisch bedingt.
Falls nötig, Kältemittel für die Klimaanlage bei
einem dafür eingerichteten PORSCHE-Ver-
tragshändler nachfüllen lassen.
Right-hand drive
Screenwash water container (A)
The transparent water container is in the
right-hand side of the engine compartment
and has a capacity of approx. 7.5 litres (1.65
Imp. galls.). To top up with washing fluid, you
can pull out the filling tube extension.
It is a good idea to add the correct amount of
Porsche Window Cleanser - either summer or
winter grade according to the time of year -
to the water. Clear water is in general not suf-
ficient to clean the windscreen and the head-
lights.
To drain the container, unscrew the plug in
the underside of the reservoir.
