Opening and closing the windows
Opening and Closing
WARNING
Windows
When opening or closing the windows, particularly in
automatic mode, body parts can become trapped
between the moving window and fixed vehicle parts.
e When opening and closing the windows, make
sure that no parts of the body can become
trapped between the moving window and fixed
vehicle parts.
e When leaving the vehicle, always remove the
vehicle key. Take the vehicle key with you when
leaving the vehicle. People who are unfamiliar
with the vehicle could injure themselves with the
power windows.
e In the event of danger: immediately release the
button in the door handle or the button on the
vehicle key.
e Do not leave children in the vehicle unattended.
Closing a Window
WARNING
Manually
If automatic mode was deactivated after a window
was blocked, the window will close with its full force
when closed manually.
e Ensure that nobody can be pinched or crushed
when the windows close.
Information
If a window is blocked by an obstruction when
closing, the window stops and opens again a few
centimeters.
If the window is blocked a second time within around
10 seconds, the automatic mechanism for this
window is locked.
The window can be closed manually. Automatic
mode is enabled again once the window has been
completely shut once in manual mode.

b Ignition is switched on.

b Ignition switched off for less than 10 minutes and
driver's or passenger's door not yet opened.
Opening window
e Press the switch for the relevant window until the
window has reached the required position.
Closing window
e Pull back the switch for the relevant window until
the window has reached the required position.
The switches have a two-stage function. When the
buttons are used, both stages can be clearly felt due
to a resistance when pushed or pulled.
Stage one – manual operation
e Push or pull the relevant button to the first
setting.
The window is opened or closed manually.
The process stops when the button is released.
Stage two – automatic operation
b Ignition is switched on.
e Briefly push or pull the relevant button all the way
to the second setting.
The window is opened or closed completely.
e Pressing the button again stops the window in
the required position.
