As the -Ctrl plug-in creates standard Pro Tools automation playlists, all the Pro Tools editing tools are available for use
with the saved automation. These are comprehensively described in the Pro Tools Setup Notes on page 5-31.
One of the immediate benefits of -Control is that the saved AWS automation will, by default, follow all audio edits made
in the workstation ensuring that all the DAW workflow editing options are available at any stage in the mix process – even
though the fader automation is playing back on an external console.
A second very powerful feature is that the plug-in store its volume and trim data in the playlists using the same dB law as
the Pro Tools fader volume and trim data. This means that the Pro Tools edit command "Paste Special – To Current
Automation Type" can be used to copy Pro Tools fader automation into the -Ctrl plug-in volume playlist to play out on
the AWS channels with an accuracy better than 0.2 dB.

Write to Start, End or All

Using the front panel HUI control keys, you can write automation data to the start, end or whole part of a track/selection
for all tracks actively writing automation. These short cuts work equally well with switch states as well as fader automation.
CTRL + RTZ – will write automation data from the current position to the start of the track/selection
CTRL + END – will write automation data from the current position to the end of the track/selection
CTRL + SHIFT + (END or RTZ) – will write automation data from the start to the end of the track/selection
