Weld the 7" x 7 5/8" (17.78 cm x 19.37 cm) supplied plate to the end of
the nipple, taking care to center it over the hole

Wrap the nipple with at least 1" (2.54 cm) weatherproof insulation and
heat trace it.

Then bolt the sensor to the plate.
If mounting the sensor using this method, you can also install the probe
heater to minimize the possibility of the sample gas cooling below its dew-
point.
Flange sensor mounting method
You can also mount the sensor to a 3" x 300# customer-supplied flange. In
this case, you will not need the AMETEK-supplied mounting plate with
attached protective pipe nipple. If you have a different type of flange,
AMETEK supplies a number of flange adapters.
