The type of handshaking to use when communicating with the device
connected to the serial port.

None (always high) No handshaking is used. The radio's CTS

Description
This option controls how the radio handles data received from the serial
port.

Quick turn-around
The maximum amount of time, in milliseconds, to wait before sending out
the data received from the device connected to the serial port.
The radio will accumulate data in its buffers, and will send it out when one
of the following conditions are met:
The number of accumulated characters reaches the maximum
packet size (determined by the radio).

Description

Standard RTS/CTS handshaking is used.
The radio transmits data only when the
radio's RTS line is asserted.

The radio automatically selects the best
packet size based on the Character
timeout setting.
Data may be delayed, but the best use is
made of the available wireless bandwidth.
Data is transmitted as soon as it is
received from the device connected to the
serial port.
