FOR YOUR SAFETY

Please read this manual thoroughly before installing and lining-up your new RYOBI-precision laser marker.
To ensure safe working conditions, carefully read through all the safety instructions and comply with them.
Caution! Laser radiation!
Protective glasses protect your eyes!
Classification of the Ryobi laser marker: Laser class 1 as specified in European standard EN 60825-1:1994.
Avoid looking directly at the laser beam and looking at it with any optical devices! The Ryobi laser marker may only be used
in the way intended - as described in this manual - and exclusively with a mitre saw.
Improper use can lead to injuries and the impairment of your vision or even to the complete loss of sight.
Non-compliance with the instructions given in this manual can result in severe physical injuries (see also the section
on "Mounting the Ryobi laser marker").
The laser diode corresponds to laser class 3A (specifications: 3.5 mW and 650 nm). The laser beam is weakened because
of losses due to reflections within the prism and the rotation of the Ryobi laser marker. The outgoing laser beam thus
corresponds to class-1 laser device.
Class-1 laser devices can be operated without any specific safety devices.
However, please note that upon opening of the device, its unintended activation would send out a class 3A laser beam
which is dangerous to the naked eye. Therefore, always wear laser-specific protective eyewear when working with the
opened device.
Also refer to the safety instructions of your mitre saw.

INTENDED USE

The Ryobi laser marker must only be used with the mitre saws (see Fig. 1) whose specifications are given in the "Product
Specifications" section.
To be able to mount the Ryobi laser marker, the distance between the parallel flat sections must be 13 mm (Fig. 2).
A countersunk screw with left-hand thread is required to attach the Ryobi laser marker to one of the mitre saws listed below:

ASSEMBLY OF THE LASER MARKER
Note:
The laser marker replaces the mitre saw's original counter flange!
Please read your mitre saw manual carefully for the correct mounting of the Ryobi laser marker. Remove the counter flange
of your mitre saw first, following the instructions given in the corresponding manual. Put the laser marker in the place
of the original counter flange then put the saw blade back on the shaft.
