5. UNPACKING
Your Mitre Saw has been shipped fully assembled except for the blade, mitre lock handle and dust deflector.
WARNING: If any part is missing or defective, do not attempt to plug in and operate this tool until the missing part
has been obtained and correctly mounted by an Authorised Ryobi Service Centre. Failure to do so could result
in serious personal injury.
• Remove all accessories from the box. Check each access0ory against the list of accessories. See Figure 1.
• Remove the packing from around the saw.
• Carefully lift the saw out of the box and place it on a level work surface. This saw is heavy. To avoid back injury, get help
if you need it.
• Do not discard the packing until you have inspected the saw carefully, identified all the accessories and used your new
saw satisfactorily.
• Your saw has been shipped with the saw arm locked down. To release the saw arm, push it downwards and pull out
the locking pin. See Figure 4.
• Keep pressing down on the saw arm to prevent its sudden rise upon release of the lock pin.
• Examine all parts to make sure that nothing has been broken or damaged during transport.
