WARNING: Failure to unplug your saw could result in accidental starting causing serious injury.
Remove the brush cap with a screwdriver. The brush assembly is spring-loaded and will pop out when you remove
the brush cap.
Remove the brush.
Check for wear. Replace both brushes when either has less than 6 mm (1/4") length of carbon remaining. Do not replace
one side without replacing the other.
Always use new carbon brushes when replacement is required. Make sure the curvature of the brush matches
the curvature of the motor and that the brush moves freely in the brush tube.
Make sure the brush cap is positioned correctly (straight) and put it back in place.
Tighten the brush cap securely. Do not overtighten.

INSTALLATION

WARNING: To prevent the saw starting accidentally and possibly causing serious personal injury, fit all accessories
to your saw before plugging it in. Always unplug your saw before fitting parts, making adjustments, attaching or
removing a blade, or when you are not using your saw.
• WORK CLAMP
See Figure 37.
The work clamp is the ideal tool for holding the workpiece against the fence. It also prevents the workpiece from creeping
toward the saw blade. The work clamp is particularly recommended for cutting compound mitres. To install the work clamp,
place the shaft of the clamp in either hole at the front of the mitre table base. Rotate the knob on the clamp to move
it in or out as needed.
WARNING: Make sure the saw blade or blade guard will not hit the work clamp assembly when cutting 35°
to 45° angles. Failure to heed this warning can result in serious personal injury.

• DUST BAG
See Figure 38.
It fits over the extractor port on the upper blade guard. To fit it, remove the dust deflector from the extractor port.
Then, squeeze the two metal clips to open the mouth of the bag and slide it onto the extractor port. Release the clips.
The metal ring in the bag should fit between the grooves on the extractor port. For efficient operation, empty the dust bag
as soon as it is half full. This will allow better air flow through the bag.
