G
Custom Configuration
Module (CCM)

Overview

The CCM functionality built into the printer can be used to create a CCM SD card that can in turn be
used to configure an unlimited number of printers. The programmed CCM SD card can contain printer
firmware (program file), a feature file, a CST, downloadable fonts and forms, NIC configurations,
customer files, and PTX_SETUP config files. An external host is needed to copy the files to the printer,
which then creates the CCM card from any blank SD card. The programmed CCM SD card can then be
used to identically configure any number of printers.

CAUTION
You must power off the printer before you install or remove the SD card. If you
remove the SD card after powering on the printer, the fault message "SD
REMOVED Reboot Printer" will display. You cannot clear this message by
reinserting the SD card. You must cycle power.
1. Set the printer power switch to O (Off).
2. Insert a blank SD card into the SD slot on the back of the printer.
3. While depressing the LEFT SOFT key + UP ARROW key + RIGHT SOFT keys on the control panel,
turn the printer power on. This will boot the printer into the CCM download mode.
4. The printer will boot up and the following message will display when the printer is ready to receive files
and program the CCM:
Note: If the SD is not blank the printer will display the option "TO ERASE AND CONTINUE Press
Enter". If the ENTER key is pressed the SD will be erased before continuing, this may take several
minutes. Once the SD is blank, the above message will be displayed.
