8. Click "Ok" to continue.
9. Wait until the printer is finished upgrading firmware. This process will take several minutes, please be
patient. The printer will reboot after the firmware is updated.
10. When the Web Page is redirected, the download process in complete.

Windows Driver Download

The method for downloading the WLAN Radio Firmware through the Windows Driver is the same as for
downloading the Printer Firmware though the Windows Driver. Please refer to the Windows Driver
Download section on Page 212. Remember that the the WLAN Radio Firmware files uses a .fls extension
and not a .prg extension.

Automatic Download (.exe)

The method for downloading the WLAN Radio Firmware using the Automatic Download is the same as
for downloading the Printer Firmware using the Automatic Download. Please refer to the using the
Automatic Download (.exe) section on Page 213.

Manual Two-Key Download Sequence

NOTE:
This download method can be completed with firmware in the form of FILENAME.fls or
FILENAME.exe.
The following steps prepare the printer for download. When the printer is in the download mode, any host
IO can be used to download the firmware except for Ethernet. If using the WLAN interface make sure the
WLAN has been setup and can connect to the printer.
1. Set the printer power switch to O (Off).
2. Press and hold down the LEFT SOFT KEY + RIGHT SOFT KEY on the printer's control panel.
3. Set the printer power switch to I (On).
4. After five seconds, release the front panel keys.
The printer must power-up so this may take to 1-2 minutes. Wait until "PROGRAM DOWNLOAD"
displays on the screen before proceeding.
5. Start a Windows Command Prompt session.
6. Navigate to the directory with the target firmware (e.g., c:\download).
7. Send the firmware to the printer as described for various host IO options remembering that the the
WLAN Radio Firmware files uses a .fls extension and not a .prg extension:
