To select a single shape from a complicated or crowded page, click the objects
while pressing the [Alt] button. Each shape is selected in order.

To make a shape unselected, select another shape or click an open area in the
screen.
When multiple objects are selected, click the object you wish to release while
pressing the [Shift] key to make that object unselected.
♦
Dragging the handles on the corners while pressing the [Shift] key changes
the rectangle around the shape to a square. Change the size of the square.
The size of string cannot be changed with this method.
