ELECTRIC STARTER
FIELD COIL INSPECTION
Check for continu ity from the Cl!ble terminal to
the motor case and from the cable terminal to the
brush w
ire.
Replace the starter motor if the field coil is not
continuous or if It is shorted to the motor case,
ASSEMBLY/
INSTALLATION
Assemble the
$tarter motor.
Align the casl notch w ith the brush holder P,"

Install
the rear cover aligOing its slot With the brush
holder p in.
Install the starter motor," the reverse order of
removal.
