BATTERY
V45 SABRE'
Remove the right frame side
cover
and inspect the
battery fluid level.
When the fluid level
nears
the
lower
level, remove
the battery and add distilled water to the upper
level
line as follows:
Disconnect the negative cabla at the battery ter-
minal.
Then remove the positive cable.
Remove the battery holder plata
bolt
and plate.
Pull
out
the battery and add distilled water to the
upper level line. Reinstall tha battery.

battery fluid level.
Remove
the
battery
when the fluid level nears
the
lower level!ine
as follows
:
Remove the
seat.
Disconnect the negative
cable
at the
battery
termi·
nal. Then remove the positive
cable.
Remove the battery holder plate bolt and plate.
Pull
out the
battery and add
distilled water
to the
upper level
line.
Reinstall the battery.
NOTE:
Add
only
distilled water. Tap water will
shorten
the
service life of
the battery.
The balll!ry electrolyte
contains
sulphUric
ocid. PrQtect your
eyes,
skin, alld clothing.
If electrolyte geu in your
eyes,
flush Ihem
rhorollgllly
with
water and
get
prompt
medicolottenlioll.

BRAKE FLUID
Check
the front brake fluid
reservoir level.
If the level Ilears the
lower
le~el
mark, fill the reo
servolr
with OOT·3 BRAKE FLUID to the upper
level mark.
Check
the entire system
for
leaks, if
the level is
low.
CAUTION:
Do not
remove
the
cover
ullfil
the
IU1IIdle-
bar
has
been
fUmed
S()
that the
reservoir
is
1€I'el.
Avoid
operating the brake
lever with the
cop
removed.
Brake
fluid
will
Sl/uirt
OUi
if
the
lever
is
pUlled.
Do
IIot mix dllferem typesoffluid.
as they
are
not compatible.
Refer to
section
16 for
brake bleeding
procedures.
