COMPLETE REMOVAL
N
Slightly open the two tangs (7), releasing the pipe and
the electric cable.
N
Unscrew and remove the screw (8) and take the wash-
er.
Rear brake fluid tank screw driving torque: 3 Nm (0.3
kgm).

CAUTION
Take care to keep the rear brake reservoir (9) in verti-
cal position, so that it does not overturn and the fluid
does not flow out.

Disconnect the electric connector (10).
N
Loosen the clamps (11) (12) (13).
N
Release the clamp (14).

CAUTION
Procure an equal number of clamps to be used for re-
fitting.
N
Unscrew and remove the screw (15).
Regulator support screw driving torque: 10 Nm (1.0
kgm).
N
Remove the voltage regulator (16), complete with sup-
port.
N
Carry out the partial removal of the saddle pillar (see
above).
N
Remove the saddle lock, see 7.1.30 (REMOVING THE
SADDLE LOCK).
N
Remove the luggage rack, see 7.1.5 (REMOVING THE
REAR LUGGAGE RACK).
N
Remove the glove compartment, see 7.1.32 (REMOV-
ING THE GLOVE COMPARTMENT).
N
Remove the filter casing (1), see 7.1.9 (REMOVING
THE AIR CLEANER CASE).
~ Unscrew and remove the screw (17) and take the
washer.
Saddle pillar lower screw driving torque: 25 Nm (2.5
kgm).
N
Remove the saddle support (18).
Release 00/2002-02
