Replace the laminar airflow device filter

The laminar airflow device (LAD) filter is attached to the light engine assembly handle in the light
engine compartment. Inspect the LAD filter every six months.
1. Shut down the projector.
2. Unlock and remove the front top cover.
3. Unlock and remove the light engine lid.
4. Remove the two screws securing the laminar airflow device filter (LAD) assembly to the
bracket.
5. Pull out and replace the LAD filter.
6. To reinstall, repeat these steps in reverse order.

Danger! Failure to comply with the following results in death or serious injury.
• Lamp replacement must be performed by a qualified service technician only.
• EXPLOSION HAZARD. Wear authorized protective clothing (P/N: 598900-095) whenever the lamp
door is open and when handling the lamp. Ensure those within the vicinity of the projector are also
wearing protective safety clothing. Recommended protective clothing includes, but may not be
limited to a polycarbonate face shield, protective gloves, and a quilted ballistic nylon jacket or a
welder's jacket. Protective clothing recommendations are subject to change. Any local or federal
specifications take precedence over Christie recommendations.
• Never twist or bend the quartz lamp body. Use the correct wattage lamp supplied by Christie.
• Never attempt to remove the lamp when it is hot. The lamp is under extremely high pressure when
hot and may explode. Allow the lamp to cool completely before replacing.
Warning! Failure to comply with the following could result in death or serious injury.
• Possibly hazardous optical radiation emitted from this product. (Risk group 3).
• Thermal radiation emitted from this product may cause burns. (Risk group 3).
Always perform these steps before inspecting, removing, or installing any part of the lamp system:
1. Shut down the projector, disconnect from power, and let it cool.
2. Put on the protective clothing and face shield.
3. Use the key to open the lamp door and access the lamp compartment.
Do not lean, or place heavy objects on the open lamp door.
