1. Turn off the server and all peripheral devices; then, disconnect all power cords
and external cables.
2. Remove the top cover (see "Removing the cover and bezel" on page 32). It is
not necessary to remove the front bezel.
3. Pull the hard disk drives out of the server slightly to disengage them from the

SCSI backplane.

4. Disconnect the SCSI cable from the SCSI backplane.
5. Disconnect the cable connecting the I/O board to the media interposer card.
Note: This is the only cable that should be disconnected from the media
interposer card.
