Deleting a Link

There are several reasons why you would delete a link. For example, you may want to delete a link
when a node is deleted from the network, when a dual-link configuration is downgraded to a single
link, or when a link that provides extra connectivity is no longer needed.
To delete a link, perform the following steps.
1. Execute the Time Slot Summary (tss) command to see if there are any active channel
2. Use the Logical Link Summary (lls) command to list the logical links for the physical link.
3. Execute the Delete Logical Link (dlll) command to delete the logical links associated with
4. Execute the Delete Facility Profile (dlfp) command to delete any reference to the facility
5. Use the Manage Routing Table Utility to change a routing table at a specific node, or
For more information on these commands, refer to the COMSPHERE 6800 Series Network
Management System Core Command Reference Manual and the COMSPHERE 6800 Series

Displaying Summaries

NMS provides summaries of hardware states, network configuration states, bandwidth
configuration states, and SDL states. The summaries that can be displayed are as follows.
Channel Groups

groups on the link that is to be deleted. If there are channel groups present, they must be
idled or rerouted as described in the Configuring Channel Groups section.
the physical link.
for the specified link.
execute the Change Routing Table (chrt). (Optional.)
Two summaries are available for channel groups, and are accessed via the following
commands.
Channel Group Summary (cgs)
Displays the channel group's capacity, priority, endpoints, connection condition,
connection state, route choice, and a list of the channels assigned to the channel
group.
Network-Wide Channel Group Summary (nwcgs)
Displays a list of all the channel groups in the multiplexer network with each
channel group's endpoint node numbers and names.
